Twice a year I wake up way too early for a Saturday and drag myself out to a giant children’s consignment sale to stand in line before the doors open. There is a strategy, I have learned, to doing this sort of thing. Get there early. Grab pretty much everything you think looks interesting. Sit down once your bag gets too heavy and take a second look at everything to filter out the things you can live without. Do a slow walk past the racks again to look for things other people had originally grabbed and then decided they didn’t want. Repeat until you feel you have seen everything. And don’t forget to bring cash. Thankfully, it is always worth it. I got some great stuff for both kids.
