Growing up, I always loved the nights when my parents served buttered noodles with dinner. It wasn’t nearly as often as I would have liked so it was always a treat. It wasn’t until I spent a semester in Rome during college that I realized I could have noodles all day, every day, if I wanted since I was now cooking for myself. I still love them, and have passed on that buttered-noodle-love to my kids, although I guess that’s not a very difficult thing to do since noodles seem to be a staple of most toddlers and young kids these days.

  1. My kids loved it when I made spaghetti or Beef tips and noodles because they knew they were going to get noodles in butter as neither one would eat any thing made with sauce. It is a great kid meal and I have occasionally had buttered noodles for lunch. Such a variety of noodles out there, isn’t there? We could make buttered noodles a meal every night with a different type of pasta for a month or more.
