Tonight was the third time since 2013 that my son has been ice skating. We go every year with his cub scout pack. The first year he never let go of the wall. The second year, despite this photo, he let go of the wall for a very brief time. Tonight he made it all the way into the center of the rink.
I love these two photos so much because you can see how proud he is of overcoming his fear. He never let go of my hand, but I didn’t care. I’ll hold onto him as long as I can.
He was the first one back on the ice after the Zamboni came.
